The Prize Draw: STV is offering STV Player account holders the chance to win a £5,000 McTear’s auction house Voucher.
The Winner must have, or must successfully open a McTear’s account to accept the prize. The Voucher must be deposited in the Winners’ account with McTear’s. The value of the Voucher can be used towards the purchase of lot item(s) in any live auction held at McTear’s auction house in Glasgow or online before the expiry date (30 11 23). Purchases are subject to McTears terms of business.

How to Enter:
• Enter online at https://competitions.stv.tv/
Prize draw period:
• The prize draw entry period will open at 00.01 on 31 October and will close at 23:59 on 13 November 2022 (“the prize draw period”).
Conditions of Entry:
• Entrants must be a registered STV Player accountholder.
• Entry is limited to one entry per STV Player accountholder email address.
• Entrants must be aged 18 or over and reside in the UK.
• Entrants must hold a McTear’s account to accept the prize. For information about opening an account and accepting the prize, see below
• Excludes: employees of STV and McTear's, immediate family and household members, and anyone else professionally connected with the prize draw or its administration.
The prize: • There is one (1) prize consisting of a £5,000 McTears Auctioneers Voucher. • The Voucher expiry date is 30 November 2023. • The Voucher must be deposited in the Winner’s McTear’s account and the value used before the expiry date. • The Voucher can be used towards the purchase of one or more items at a McTear’s live auction held at the auction house in Glasgow or online, subject to McTear’s terms of business: https://www.mctears.co.uk/terms-of-business/ • The Voucher can be used towards the buyer’s premium of 24% plus VAT and delivery.
Winner Selection and Notification:
• The Winner will be selected at random from all qualifying entries.
• STV will contact the Winner by email within 5 days of the closing date (“Winner notification period”).
• The Winner must confirm they hold a McTear’s account and confirm acceptance of the prize to STV within 10 business days of the Winner notification period. Failure to respond or accept within 10 business days will disqualify your entry and STV, at its sole discretion, may select a new Winner.
• STV reserves the right to request proof of eligibility. Failure to provide sufficient evidence to demonstrate eligibility will result in disqualification and STV, at its sole discretion, may select a new Winner.
Delivery of the prize:
• STV will share the Winner’s name and email address with McTear’s.
• The Winner must contact McTear’s directly to collect the prize Voucher and deposit it in their account.
• McTear’s will credit the value of the Voucher to the Winner’s account on instruction from the Winner.
Voucher Conditions • The Voucher cannot be exchanged for cash and is not valid if altered or defaced. • The Voucher must credited to the Winners’ account with McTear’s. • The value of the Voucher must be used towards a purchase (or purchases) of items available at an auction held at McTear’s auction house in Glasgow or online, or to purchase goods at the McTear’s tea room, before the Voucher expiry date of 30 November 2023. Opening an account and Redeeming the Voucher
• The Winner must have, or must successfully open, an account with McTear’s and deposit the Voucher in the account before registering to bid or purchase an item in advance of any auction.
• The Winner must comply with McTear’s terms of business.
o To open an account, the Winner must provide personal information, including photographic ID and bank account details, alongside two methods of contact which include home address and telephone number and/or email address

• The Voucher credit value can be used to purchase a single or multiple items up to the value of £5,000.
• The hammer price of any item purchased is subject to buyer’s premium of 24% plus VAT and the amount of the Voucher credit can be used to cover the hammer price including the buyer’s premium and VAT.
• The voucher can also be used towards the cost of delivery or shipping of any item/s which the Winner wishes to be delivered.
• STV does not accept responsibility where the Voucher is used towards the purchase of an item which exceeds the value of the Voucher. The Winner understands and agrees that where the Voucher is used towards a purchase of an item which exceeds the value of the Voucher, they are entering into a separate and independent contractual arrangement directly with McTears for the additional value amount and STV is not party to that arrangement.
